About Argon

Argon is an inert noble gas — colourless, odourless, and non-flammable — that forms around 1% of the atmosphere. Its complete chemical inertness makes it the shielding gas of choice for TIG welding, specialty MIG, and plasma cutting, where atmospheric contamination must be eliminated. APAC Gas argon is supplied at high purity in compressed cylinders for welding, manufacturing, and laboratory applications.

⚠ Main Hazards

• Simple asphyxiant — argon is heavier than air and pools in pits, trenches, and low confined spaces. Displaces breathable oxygen with no warning.
• No warning properties — colourless, odourless, tasteless. Cannot be detected by human senses at dangerous concentrations.
• Rapid release can cause frostbite on skin contact with valves or regulators.
• High pressure stored energy — secure cylinders upright, use valve cap during transport, and inspect valves before use.
